Astrodome celebrates 57th birthday with 2nd annual ‘Race for the Dome.’

Brazos Bend 50 returns this Saturday.
Trail Racing Over Texas
The Brazos Bend 50 is part of the Trail Racing Over Texas race series. Participants can choose a 10K, 25K, 50K or 50-mile course that is flat and fast. 6 a.m. April 9; Brazos Bend State Park, 21901 Farm to Market 762, Needville; trailracingovertexas.com/brazos-bend-50.
Race for the Dome
All Dome-lovers and racers can join the Astrodome Conservancy for the second annual Race for the Dome; this year’s event features a 5K road race and a 1K fun run. 7:30 a.m. April 9; Astrodome, 3 NRG Pkwy; raceroster.com/events/2022/57564/race-for-the-dome.
Bellaire Trolley Run
The family-friendly Trolley Run features a 1-mile fun run/walk, a 5K wheelchair division and a 5K stroller division. Post-race party to follow in Bellaire Town Square. 7:30 a.m. April 9; Bellaire Civic Center, 7008 S. Rice, Bellaire; bellairetx.gov/835/Bellaire-Trolley-Run.
HIIT
A fun and challenging high-intensity interval training class helps burn calories and gain strength and endurance. Classes are free, but registration is required. 6:30-7:30 p.m. April 13; Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney; discoverygreen.com.
